It’s a newly created role due to continued growth and recent acquisitions.This role is ideal for someone who loves leading and coaching a team while supporting month-end close, and helping improve consistency, structure, and reporting quality across the function.What You’ll Be DoingReporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A, you will oversee the accounting function for a key business unit and provide leadership to the accounting team.Your responsibilities will include:Leading and reviewing the month-end close processReviewing accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedulesPreparing and reviewing working papersSupporting the upload and review of financial statements and reporting packagesReviewing sales tax requirementsPreparing quarterly reportingAssisting with external financial statementsSupporting the year-end audit processCoaching, mentoring, and developing a team of accounting membersHelping create consistency and stronger reporting processes as the business continues to growWho You AreYou are a strong accountant who enjoys both the technical and people side of accounting.



You’re comfortable working in a more complex environment and take pride in helping your team succeed.You bring:A CPA designation and post-secondary education in a relevant field7+ years of progressive accounting experience; leasing, equipment finance, real estate, or asset-based industry preferred with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity leading a teamExperience in a complex, multi-entity, or consolidation environment would be a strong assetAdvanced skills in MS Excel and advanced ERP experienceA collaborative leadership style and genuine interest in mentoring othersA steady, practical approach to improving processes and supporting business growthWhy This Role Stands OutThis is a newly created role, so you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact from the start.
