This role ensures all procurement activities align with Methanex’s policies, procedures, and standards.More specifically, your responsibilities will include:Source and procure materials, equipment, supplies, and services in compliance with corporate policies, provincial regulations, and industry best practicesDevelop and issue competitive bid packages, RFPs, and purchase orders to support operational and project needsCollaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure materials and services meet specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedulesExpedite critical purchases and resolve supply or delivery issues through proactive communication and coordinationPartner with Finance to reconcile invoice disputes, support asset disposals, and ensure accurate, timely processing of purchase transactionsMaintain accurate inventory and materials data,



ensuring compliance with established guidelines and stock level controlsSupport continuous improvement initiatives, system upgrades, and data integrity across procurement and warehouse functionsMonitor and ensure adherence to Methanex’s procurement standards, workflows, and documentation requirementsContribute to the development and delivery of procurement training and end-user support to enhance process understanding and efficiencyCollaborate with peers across Methanex sites to share best practices and maintain consistency in procurement processesProvide relief and cross-functional support to procurement and warehouse teams to ensure seamless operationsActively uphold Methanex’s core values, Responsible Care®, and one-team culture in all procurement activitiesAbout YouTo qualify, you will need to possessan undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline, along with3-5 years of experience of progressive experience in a chemical, energy, or another similar industrial setting .Additionally, the following skills or experience are required:Strong negotiating skills, including experience with contract negotiation, creation, and managementProficiency with the MS Office suite of programsValid class 5 driver’s licenseExperience with Maximo software is an assetExperience purchasing items regulated under an owner-user program or by the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) is an assetAs our ideal candidate for this role,
