As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!About the RoleTerus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Surrey, BC.The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing financial insight to support operational and management decision-making. Reporting to the Subsidiary Controller, the role acts as a key financial liaison between operations and finance, ensuring transactions are properly recorded, analyzed, and reported in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.The Senior Accountant plays a hands‑on role in month‑end and year‑end close activities,
variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, and continuous improvement of financial processes. The position requires a strong understanding of operational accounting, the ability to work independently, and effective communication with both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.Main ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise a team of approximately 3 accountants/clerks/admins to achieve the KPI of the functionManage financial transactions of all Aggregate Production and SalesSubject Matter Expert for the related applications including JWS and JDE for the related activityResponsible for all financial transactions related to the Aggregate business units to ensure proper coding and allocation; review all related transactions to ensure consistent coding as per financial reporting, internal controls and review needsAssist in the preparation of the annual budgets along with preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and other reporting as neededUnderstand in depth,
