As a student at PCL, you will have the prospect for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.We are seeking aMechanical & Electrical Estimating Studentfor ourToronto Districtthat is available for4 to 8 months starting in September 2026 .ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and utilize PCL’s estimating manuals, systems and forms.Review quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief Estimator.Perform assigned quantity survey and transfer quantities to the lead estimator.Provide quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricing.Contribute to subtrade solicitation duties and help with bid document control.Perform bid day assignments as opportunities arise.Visit job sites periodically.Develop relationships with subcontractors.Performs other duties as required.QualificationsCandidates must have taken a building envelope or building science course and understand the fundamental control layers within the building envelope (air, water,



vapour and thermal control).Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment, be able to read architectural drawings, and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.Proficiency with computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting.Next StepsCandidates selected to move forward to the next stage will receive an email to complete a short online video interview.The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37 - $31.33, based on experience and qualifications.
