What You'll DoPrimary point of contact with our regional client and/or subcontractorsDirect project supervision and project workflowMaintain proper levels of quality controlMeet all project schedulesEfficient utilization of resourcesCommunicate project status to management and to the client, both internal and externalDevelop project specifications and implement practices which will achieve defined objectives to the satisfaction of the client and of managementAdditional responsibilities and/or duties as assignedMaintain working knowledge of utility company policy and procedures in order to communicate effectively with various professional staffs from client companiesOccasional travel may be requiredDay to day supervision of back office engineering operation, including but not limited to office resource managementDirect the local staff and work product of planning and/or administrative teamsWhat You'll Bring5+ years of overhead and underground design experienceExperience with SCE is requiredLead and mentor engineering design teams, guiding projects through all phases, from initial concept to final implementationOversee utility design and coordination efforts, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standardsManage project financials, including budget control, resource allocation, and contract negotiationAct as a primary point of contact for area agencies, municipalities, and governing jurisdictions, ensuring smooth project approvals and coordinationDevelop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, ensuring timely delivery within tight deadlinesApply solid problem-solving and troubleshooting expertise to overcome project challenges effectivelyPrepare and deliver exceptional written, verbal,
and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholdersCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while also demonstrating the ability to work independently on critical tasksBachelor's Degree required; a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is strongly preferred. Candidates with degrees in related fields will also be consideredExtensive background in electrical utility and/or telecom design and coordinationDemonstrated experience in leading and mentoring direct reports and engineering design teamsProficiency in advanced Project Management Software and the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Proven expertise in contract negotiation and management, as well as financial management and budget controlStrong familiarity with area agencies, municipalities, and governing jurisdictionsExceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skillsAdept at problem-solving, troubleshooting, and working effectively under tight deadlinesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environmentWhat You'll GetProject Management role leading diverse teams of engineers, designers, and field personnelLeadership responsibility for challenging engineering and construction projects with complex problem-solving requirementsStrategic involvement in utility design and relocation coordination for infrastructure ownersAuthority in preparing, reviewing, and approving proposals, contracts,
