The Refiner Operator is responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards while refining paste batches into liquid chocolate or compound.ResponsibilitiesInput required documentation of product specifications and quality into the systemAdjust machines as needed to minimize inaccuracies, defects, or wasteDeliver regular sample tests to laboratory to confirm accurate recipe specifications, measuring items such as fineness, color and consistencyReport any defective materials, missing or damaged tools to the SupervisorMaintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly conditionEnsure critical control point compliance documenting - Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) results, magnet cleaning, downtime, waste generation; report any non-conformitiesRotate into other production areas and perform additional duties where resources may be neededCollaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout production cyclePick up other tasks that may be needed during downtime (maintaining clean work areas, etc.)Operate within the Blommer core values of respect and care for othersNote: The employer reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position.Physical RequirementsAble to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods of timeAble to set up, adjust and operate machineryAble to observe and detect issues with product color and finenessRegularly required to bend, stoop,
