Environmental Services Manager – Southbridge Kemptville, Long Term CareLocation: Southbridge Kemptville, Long Term CareSalary Range: $60,000 - $65,000Status: Full‑time vacancyReporting to the Executive Director, the Environmental Services Manager maintains a clean and safe living setting for all Southbridge building residents. The role coordinates equipment maintenance and repairs, audits and maintains standards in the laundry and housekeeping departments, and leads health and safety initiatives for all staff. This full‑time position operates in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities and requires the ability to meet project timelines while satisfying Ministry and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain a safe and secure home environment for all residents.Oversee hiring, performance management, and development of departmental staff.Implement department‑specific orientation and training programs.Maintain detailed documentation required by FLTCA and Public Health.Supervise contractors to ensure contractual obligations and regulatory compliance.Prepare and manage departmental budgets; control inventory, and purchase supplies and equipment.Maintain departmental policy and procedure manuals; participate in leadership team activities and committees.Conduct contract tendering with Southbridge consultants, subject to Executive Director approval.Manage all aspects of staff performance, service quality,



and departmental safety programs.Maintain records, statistics, and reports in compliance with FLTCA, Southbridge, and home‑level policies.Knowledge And Skills RequiredPost‑secondary studies, an Environmental Services certificate, or relevant LTC operational experience.Knowledge of evidence‑based or prevailing practices in housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance.Minimum of two (2) years of managerial or supervisory experience.Preferred experience in managing human and financial resources.Preferred experience in a long‑term care setting.Preferred formal training in building maintenance.Health and Safety certification, or completion of such training within a specified period after hire.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Completion of a negative vulnerable sector check within six months of hire.Completion of a 2‑step TB skin test within the last twelve months.Southbridge welcomes applicants with disability‑related needs and those requiring accommodation during the recruitment process.
