They provide specialized holistic assessment and management as an inter-professional team member and participate in career development, research activities, knowledge translation, and system-level thinking. They provide counselling and education for patients,



both independently and in collaboration with the health care team. In consultation with physicians, community counterparts and other health care professionals, they use best practice and guidelines developed by Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Canada (NSWOCC) to ensure patients are accessing appropriate care to achieve the desired outcomes.Experience:Five (5) full time years of experience as a Registered NurseEducation:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)Other Education and Training:Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS); Graduate of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Management programs; Certification as a wound care clinician from an accredited programCompetencies:Advanced - Interpersonal skills; Advanced - Communication skillsKnowledge and Abilities:Ability and flexibility in adapting to changing situations and environments; Ability to teach patients/families about areas essential to wound, ostomy and continence care; etc. For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.#J-18808-Ljbffr
