Job DescriptionJob Title:Housekeeping AttendantReports to:Manager, HousekeepingRole Status:Full Time / Seasonal / HourlyJOB SUMMARYThe primary role of a Housekeeper is to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and its surroundings. This includes basic and periodic cleaning tasks, the safe and effective use of various cleaning solvents and chemicals, and adherence to a set cleaning schedule.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSResponsible for performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing, laundry services, emergency housekeeping when accidents occurFollow cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) as outlined for housekeeping departmentCheck stock levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate, monitor cleaning supplies and order more as neededClean and sanitize toilets, countertops, sinksWashing windows, vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugsEffectively and safely use a variety of cleaning equipment including various cleaning solvents, chemicals etc. in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirementsEmpty trash receptacles and dispose of wasteSupport event setup and takedownReport any necessary repairs or replacementsPerform all other duties as requiredSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position reports directly to the Manager, Housekeeping and does not require any supervisory responsibilities.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIESMinimum of 1 year housekeeping experience requiredCompletion of secondary school (grade 12) at the start of employment requiredAble to lift up to 40 lbsMust be personable, friendly and outgoing with excellent customer service skillsMaintaining a qualified appearance with a positive attitudeAdaptable, flexible, patient,



helpful and interested in the welfare of guests and staffGreat attention to detail and works well under pressure in a fast‑paced environmentFollows staff conduct policies and time management guidelinesOrganized and able to prioritize workloadAble to multi‑task for the benefit of quality servicesAble to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervisionAble to work on feet and work both indoors and outdoorsWORKING CONDITIONSHours of Operation are weather dependant. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, and other forms of manual tasks.
