Job TitleEnvironmental Services AssistantJob DetailsPosition Title:Environmental Services AssistantStatus:Full-Time SupportHours:35 hours per weekFaculty/Department:Student HousingCampus/Location:Lakeshore Campus (occasionally at North Campus)Salary:Payband B - $24.51 to $28.30 per hour (starting $24.51)ResponsibilitiesPerform cleaning duties in suites and/or semi‑suites: sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, scrubbing shared areas and washrooms.Identify damages or concerns within units and report to the Coordinator.Build positive relationships with students, communicating and engaging them in preparing rooms for cleaning.Alert management or appropriate staff to atypical behaviors of students or guests.Work with the Coordinator to develop programs encouraging student participation in cleaning.Participate in all meetings to stay informed about cleaning techniques and maintain standards.Perform deep cleaning of vacant rooms.Prepare dirty linen for pick‑up, unpack clean linen deliveries.Assist with move‑in/move‑out inspections.When short‑stafed or during periods of extra cleaning: clean lounges, studies, hallways, and other common areas.Report damages or issues to the Coordinator and assist in assessing common‑area cleaning requirements.Complete inventory of linens and supplies.During summer months, perform hotel‑style services: vacuum, dust, wipe furniture, make beds, change linens, remove garbage,
