Our recycling stream guarantees that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again.PositionDispatcher to join the Transportation and Fleet team.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan efficient daily truck routes, maximize truck utilization, and schedule same-day routes based on customer requirementsMonitor and update real-time pick-up requests and review previous schedules to address any issues or concernsRespond to phone and email requests and queries in a timely mannerMonitor customer pickups and schedule accordinglyFollow driver runs and address any concerns or issues that ariseLiaise with traders regarding customer concerns and resolveComplete daily transportation and fleet checklistsLiaise with drivers regarding any accidents and take appropriate actionReview driver logs and inspection reports for items or concerns that may require repairEnsure all tasks are completed in a safe manner in compliance with regulatory, legislative guidelines and company health and safety policiesRequired Skills,



Knowledge & ExperienceHigh School GraduatePost-secondary education in Logistics/Operators is an assetA minimum of three years of dispatching experienceKnowledge of WHMIS, Spill Response and Environmental and Quality Policy is an assetExcellent organizational and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and related softwareAbility to perform easy arithmetic computations required to calculate weights/deductionsHighly organized and detail-oriented with strong task prioritization skillsAble to work independently with minimal supervisionWorking ConditionsThe position is performed in an office environment.Compliance & TransparencyIn accordance with Ontario’s pay transparency requirements, interviewed candidates will be informed when they are no longer under consideration for this position.
