Performs diagnostic testing, initiates oxygen therapy, and assists with home oxygen therapy. Provides artificial airway care, performs non‑invasive physiological monitoring, obtains invasive arterial blood gases, and inserts radial arterial lines. Performs invasive endotracheal intubation; attends cardio‑respiratory arrests.Maintains documentation on treatments given to patient, equipment parameter settings/values and patient/equipment observations.Performs cardio‑respiratory physiological measurements and calculations, invasive and non‑invasive, as required.Maintains documentation by ensuring reports, records,



and workload statistics are complete and accurate according to established departmental standards.Changes respiratory therapy equipment on a routine basis in the critical care areas.Performs equipment quality control, maintenance, and minor repairs and maintains documented records.Assists with in‑service education sessions on respiratory care and related respiratory equipment to nursing, medical, and other hospital personnel as required.Performs other related duties as required.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceGraduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT). Current CPR Certificate, Professional Level C.
