Registered Cardiology Technologist Advanced - Diagnostic ImagingLocation: Northern Zone, Colchester East Hants Health CentreDepartment: DI ElectrocardiogramType of Employment: Casual, Hourly FT long-assignment (100%) x 1CUPE Healthcare PositionPosting Closing Date: 10-Apr-26About the OpportunityThe Registered Cardiology Technologist performs non‑invasive cardiac diagnostic tests: Electrocardiograms, Signal Average Electrocardiograms, Ambulatory Monitoring (Holter scanning/interpretation and event loop recorder), and physician‑assisted Exercise Tolerance Testing (Stress Testing). The Technologist prepares patients for ambulatory monitoring, a non‑invasive monitoring device worn for 24 hours (Holter) or several weeks (Loop). The Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for stress and tilt table testing, performing stress tests under the direct supervision of a Cardiologist, and precepting/mentoring all new learners in the department.Travel to other sites may be required.About YouGrade 12 and successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent.Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists. Where no candidates meet the above qualifications, consideration may be given to those currently enrolled in a Cardiology Technology program. If offered employment, placement will be on the Unregistered Cardiology Technologist scale.Current BLS (HCP)



certification.Recent clinical experience in an ECG Department and demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, Holter monitoring (including scanning), stress testing, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and assisting in Pacemaker/ICD clinics.Strong sense of initiative and responsibility.Ability to adapt to a versatile workload and stressful situations.Competency in other languages is an asset; French preferred.HoursLong assignment full‑time position; 75 hours biweekly.Approximate duration: 18 months.Shift work required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.Compensation and BenefitsRegistered Cardiology Technologist Advanced: $32.48 - $36.65 hourly.Unregistered Cardiology Technologist: $24.24 - $27.78 hourly.Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long‑term disability, life insurance, and a defined benefit pension plan.This is a Healthcare bargaining unit position.
