Provide essential overnight support as a Support Care Worker at Haven Toronto, focusing on client assistance and safety. You'll work with individuals navigating homelessness and mental health issues.
This full-time position operates under a time-limited contract ending December 31, 2026. Shifts run from Friday to Tuesday, 11pm-7am. In this role, your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, assisting clients with various needs, and maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for all individuals.
Key Responsibilities: • Greet and orient new clients upon arrival • Assess health and well-being, linking clients to resources • Monitor well-being and oversee client interactions • Document daily activities and client needs thoroughly • Support basic needs like food and hygiene services
Requirements: • Post-secondary diploma in a relevant field • Understanding of aging, addiction, and mental health challenges • Proven interpersonal skills and respectful communication • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices • Valid First Aid and CPR qualifications
