SNP has formal partnerships with nine publicly funded Ontario Universities and Colleges and collaborates with six Ontario-based Indigenous owned and controlled post-secondary Institutes.For more information, visitwww.Snpolytechnic.ComJOB PURPOSEThe Marketing and Events Coordinator exists to support the promotion and visibility of Six Nations Polytechnic by developing and delivering high-quality marketing initiatives and coordinating successful events that increase awareness of SNP’s programs and services. The role ensures marketing materials and events are strategically aligned with organizational priorities, branding standards, and enrolment goals. The Marketing and Events Coordinator is responsible for increased engagement and awareness among target audiences, well-executed events, and effective collaboration across departments.The Marketing and Events Coordinator is required to performall duties consistentwiththe governance values andoperating policiesof Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) while fostering positive relations with staff, students, stakeholders, and thecommunity; contributing to aculturally supportive teaching, learning and work environment consistent withHodinǫshǫ:nih/Rotinonhson:nivalues ofGa’nigohi:yo:/Kanikoriio(Respect and the Good Mind).KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESMarketing and Promotional Content Development 30%Responsible for creating, coordinating, and maintaining high-quality marketing materials that promote SNP programs and services.Working with Digital Content Specialist and external vendors to produce brochures, posters, social media graphics, videos, and presentationsWriting and editing advertising copy, reports, and promotional contentEnsuring all materials align with SNP branding and style guidelinesReviewing and editing marketing materials prior to distributionOther related duties as assigned or required.Event Planning, Coordination, and Delivery 30%Plans, coordinates, and supports the successful execution of SNP events from concept through evaluation.Coordinating logistics such as catering, vendors, schedules,



and site requirementsDeveloping event budgets, requesting quotes, and tracking expensesManaging event planning documents and timelinesActing as the primary in office contact during events and overseeing smooth deliveryConducting post-event evaluations and maintaining event recordsOther related duties as assigned or required.Marketing Strategy and Analytics Support 15%Supports strategic marketing planning through research, data analysis, and performance tracking.Conducting market research and environmental scansAccessing and analyzing social media and web analyticsSupporting the development and execution of marketing plans aligned with enrolment and awareness targetsIdentifying creative approaches and new marketing opportunitiesOther related duties as assigned or required.Internal Communications, Collaboration, and Stakeholder Support 15%Works collaboratively across departments to support communications, alignment, and relationship-building.Coordinating with internal teams on marketing and event needsSupporting public relations and internal communications initiativesAssisting with website updates and content coordinationOrganizing and supporting planning committees and meetingsOther related duties as assigned or required.Administration, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement 45%Ensures documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements are met while supporting ongoing improvement.Developing and maintaining annual work plansPreparing reports and presentations for leadership, Board, and stakeholdersMaintaining organized digital files and documentationReviewing outcomes and producing data-driven evaluationsParticipating in staff meetings, committees, and training sessionsOther related duties as assigned or required.EDUCATIONAL KNOWLEDGECompletion of a formal post-secondary/college program of one to two academic year in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Advertising,



Journalism, Event Management, Broadcasting or a related field that provides skills in Marketing, Communications, Media, and Event coordination.EXPERIENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / CULTURE AND LANGUAGE EXPERTISEOver 1 year and including 3 years of experience working in Marketing, communications or public relations coordinationEvent planning and management, including logistics, budgeting, and vendor coordinationDevelopment of marketing materials such as brochures, social media content, videos, or advertisementsManaging campaigns or projects with measurable outcomesExperience working within a First Nations or Indigenous organization, providing familiarity with community priorities, culture, and stakeholder engagementCriminal Record CheckThe successful candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Background Check – Vulnerable Sector Screening that is satisfactory to Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) prior to the first day of work at Six Nations Polytechnic, and an Offence Declaration that is satisfactory to SNP by their first day of employment at Six Nations Polytechnic.At Six Nations Polytechnic, we are committed to diversity and inclusion as we continue and expand our efforts to become a more inclusive,safeand respectful workplace.
