Job Title: Probation Officer – Talent PoolClassification: Correctional Service Worker 1 & 2 (Permanent, Temporary, and Wage positions)Location: Various – throughout AlbertaSalary (Correctional Service Worker 1): $2,538.84 – $3,281.52 bi‑weekly ($66,263.72 – $85,647.67 annually)Salary (Correctional Service Worker 2): $2,887.86 – $3,741.28 bi‑weekly ($75,373.14 – $97,647.40 annually)Closing Date: May 15, 2026ResponsibilitiesCommunity Office Probation OfficerDeliver community corrections programs and services to adult and young offenders.Ensure compliance with court‑issued supervision orders and engage with community stakeholders.Assess risk and needs, formulate case plans, and apply Effective Practices in Community Supervision.Conduct investigations, prepare reports, and attend court as required.Perform field visits and liaise with Police, Courts, and Correctional Centres.Build and maintain relationships with community counselling and programming resources.Manage time and priorities to complete case‑management activities efficiently.Mobile Monitoring Unit Probation OfficerProvide remote supervision to pre‑trial and low‑risk sentenced offenders.Supervise clients using RePath technology across the province.Conduct investigations, prepare reports, attend court, and facilitate effective case management.Ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislation, policies, and operational manuals.Central Monitoring Unit Probation OfficerMonitor clients mandated to ankle‑bracelet electronic monitoring.Work shift patterns (day, evening, night)



to cover 24/7 operations.Manage electronic monitoring technology, create offender profiles, set supervision parameters.Administer court‑ordered conditions and respond to non‑compliance.Interpret and respond to monitoring data and client case files.Refer complex cases to eligible Probation Officers.Youth Attendance Centre Probation OfficerCollaborate with Correctional Peace Officers to support youth in meeting legal obligations.Implement structured programs, curfew checks, and community engagement.Work rotational shifts (7:45 a.M. – midnight, seven days a week).Promote rehabilitation and positive life changes for youth.Core CompetenciesCreative Problem Solving:Gather, analyze, and interpret information to formulate reports and make decisions.Agility:Prioritise competing workload pressures effectively.Drive for Results:Set and achieve goals and priorities aligned with departmental objectives.Collaborative Setting:Work cooperatively with diverse teams, community,
