Celeros Flow Technology, LLC ABOUT THE JOB – CONTROLLERLocation: Burlington, OntarioWork Environment: On-site Monday – FridayWork Schedule/Hours: 8:00 am- 5:00 pmPay Range: The base pay range for this position is $110,000 – 130,000 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.The Controller is a member of the Global Finance Leadership team and the local Burlington Leadership team, and will be responsible for positively impacting near-term results and the overall long-term success of the business.This role provides strategic direction, leadership, and accountability for financial operations for the Canada Clyde Union business and will focus on enhancing financial planning and analysis to drive transparency and decision-making for all business functions.A successful candidate in this role will instill a culture focused on accountability, transparency, and ownership through strong leadership, innovation, talent, and disciplined practices and processes. This leader will develop and maintain a sustained and long-term continuous improvement and efficient organization that consistently produces results while engaging and retaining employees with high performance standards.Duties And ResponsibilitiesSet the direction, tone, and management for the controllership and finance activitiesClear understanding of material transactions and activities impacting the operating resultsProvides actionable business insights through detailed financial planning and analysis, with focus on sales forecasting, cost controls, capital deployment and working capital managementIn depth understanding and modeling of operational impacts to the P&L and Cash Flow based on various operational scenariosHands-on management of site controllership team to own, manage and optimize balance sheet (B/S), P&L and cash flow (CF)Succession and top grading of finance teamDrive finance projects based on business needs and cross functional support, as requiredEnsure that the business units’ financial results are reported in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with GAAP through periodic balance sheet reviews, communication of current issues and best practice sharingEnsure compliance with the following accounting standards:US and Local Country Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP)Company policies and proceduresCoordinates Tax and Treasury issues relating to the locationProject management and operational execution impacting financial performance, including but not limited to manufacturing capacity planning, capital deployment, product pricing, percentage of completion accounting,
and long-term service accountingProactive management of external audits and coordination of timely implementation of corrective actionCoordinates and performs compliance work, including maintaining proper internal control documentation, monitoring of control design and effectiveness, preparation, maintenance and review of self-assessment documentation and primary contact for Corporate or compliance matters.Generally, champions compliance oversight, driving the control environment throughout the business by monitoring and identification as well as leading improvement of compliance processesEstablish and monitor financially based KPIs within each functional area.Plays key role in ensuring the financial area complies with laws and regulations; stays abreast of laws and regulations through professional reading, electronic professional websites and internal counsel.Analysis & reporting of inventory, purchase price variance, production order variance, various spending accounts, labor & efficiencies, etc.Provide monthly and annual forecasting and budgetingPartner with global product managers to understand market pricing requirements and where price escalation can be achievedEngage with Operational management, supply chain, engineering, and HR to optimize cost structure and global footprintAll other duties as directed or modifiedKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SAP, HFM and AS400 experience desiredAudit experience, preferably Big 4 Accounting firmsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAlignment to the strategic goals of the Company and financial philosophy within the business structureStrong analytical skills – able to assist in identifying and providing solutions to complex operational and financial issues as they impact the function. Able to create clear action plans.Attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others through appropriate influencing and negotiation strategiesBroad organizational business acumen, emotional intelligence, executive disposition and a strong bias for resultsCan meet commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrityAbility to work well under deadlines and to deliver results on timeSelf-starting with good organizational skillsStrong business and financial analytical skills,
