OverviewAs a Project Accountant you will be responsible for coordinating the accurate and timely entry and reporting of data in the company financial systems. This includes accounts receivable, subcontract management, payroll, equipment time entry, accounts payable and month end reporting. Interaction and communication with management and project teams are important to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data.Success in this role requires strong teamwork and the ability to perform in a fast‑paced workplace. Join our Operations team in British Columbia.Essential ResponsibilitiesSupports the project management team in completing monthly cost and profitability reporting, including monthly accrual entryUnderstands contract requirements for billingCoordinates the accounts receivable functions including the timely and accurate submittal of billing and invoicingEnsures timesheets are collected and processed timely and accuratelyReviews accounts payable to ensure accurate cost coding and compliance to purchase orderTracks subcontractor commitments and enters progress payments including payment to the subcontractor; ensures compliance to contractual termsSupports equipment and fixed asset cost tracking, entry, and reconciliationPrepares and enters journal entries into financial ERP system (JD Edwards)Preparation and reconciliation of daily/weekly LEMsQualifications3+ years of related project accounting experience within the construction industryProficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and financial applications including large ERP systems (JD Edwards experience would be an asset)Strong skill set within Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP)Analytical skills with attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced,
high‑volume environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlinesCommitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer serviceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWell‑developed interpersonal and organizational skillsWork ConditionsThis will be a site‑based position with camp accommodation or LOA provided, dependent on the project. Travel allowance provided based on successful candidate’s proximity to site.Position will work on a 10/4 or 14/7 rotation.Compensation$62,800.00 - $86,350.00This is the expected base pay range for this role.
