Hours are not guaranteed and will be scheduled according to workload and availability.Rate of Pay:$17.60 per hour + Vacation as determined by HR policyJob Description:The On-Call Student Housekeeping Assistant is part of a dynamic team, which is responsible for assisting with the deep cleaning of the residence buildings at Nipissing University.This position is on-call with no guaranteed hours. Work will be assigned as needed, based on operational requirements, seasonal demands, and employer discretion. Hours may vary week to week and will include short-notice shifts.Nature of Employment:On-call/ casual position (0-35 hours a week depending on departmental needs)Hours are not guaranteedScheduled based on operational needsMay require availability on short noticeShifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidaysDuties Include:Cleaning residence common areas daily (includes lobbies, laundry rooms, office, public washrooms, etc.)Room setups as required by corporate events clients in the residence buildingsCleaning and turnover of residence bedrooms, suites, and townhouses as required for summer guests (cleaning bathrooms, common areas, kitchens, bed making, garbage removal, etc.)Daily housekeeping services for groups (daily bed making, towel change, and suite cleaning)Report any deficiencies or damages in residence rooms, units and/or buildings in a timely and efficient mannerComplex turnover (cleaning and preparation) from the academic year to the summer accommodation season and back to academic year at the end of the summer (includes refrigerators, stoves, toilets,
