They support and work towards achieving the strategic directions set out by the Board of Directors. They put their best efforts forward to promoting the interests of our patients as well as contributing to a positive work culture.The Nurse’s Aide functions as a front-line team member, assisting with the care of residents and supporting the Manager of the Residence as required. Working in collaboration with RNs, RPNs, Personal Support Workers, volunteers, and hospice staff, the Nurse’s Aide contributes to maintaining the health, comfort, and well-being of patients.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist nurses (RN/RPN), Personal Support Workers, volunteers,



and hospice staff in providing basic care to residents.Respond to patient call bells and communicate needs to appropriate staff.Support resident mobility, including assisting with movement and positioning.Monitor patient well-being and report any concerns or changes to senior staff.Alert staff in the event of an emergency.Communicate with patients’ families and caregivers as directed by professional staff.Assist the Manager of the Residence with tasks as required.Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents.Participate in employee engagement initiatives and provide feedback to contribute to program development and quality improvement projects.NOTE: This position profile is not intended to be all-inclusive.
