The Senior Financial Analyst plays a vital role in managing the financial health of Kelcold Storage and Bulk Carriers (P.E.I.) Limited by overseeing accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role supports long‑haul operations and Storage services by analyzing costs, revenues, and budgeting related to fleet management, fuel usage, cross‑border logistics, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Financial Analyst also ensures adherence to industry‑specific financial regulations, assists in strategic planning, and provides guidance to the finance team to enhance overall efficiency, profitability, and financial decision‑making.ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with Board Reports.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.Manage the general ledger, reconciliations,



and journal entries for accuracy and completeness.Coordinate external review engagements and liaise with the external accounting firm to ensure accurate and timely completion.Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes and support department heads with financial planning.Analyze complex financial data and provide detailed reports and recommendations to senior management.Support treasury and cash flow management activities.Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure high‑quality performance.Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial integrity.Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and systems.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Operations, HR, and IT to align financial goals with business objectives.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; CPA designation is an asset.Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.Solid attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.Effective communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information clearly.Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is an asset.CompensationThe salary range isCA$50,000.00 - CA$70,000.00per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
