Job Title:Signature Programs SpecialistVacancies:1Location:Calgary, ABWork Model:HybridSalary Band:4 ($54,000 - $56,000 CAD)Program OverviewThe Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a volunteer-led 5 km or 1 km walk or run that serves as the largest breast cancer fundraiser in Canada. The Signature Programs Specialist will provide year‑round support to these events, collaborating with a national team of fundraising and event professionals.What You’ll Be DoingAct as the main staff partner for 4-5 Run for the Cure events, primarily located in Alberta.Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to volunteer committees and Run Directors.Meet regularly with Run Directors throughout the event season and attend committee meetings as needed.Ensure volunteers plan and execute safe, fun, and memorable events while adhering to Run for the Cure Minimum Standards.Lead and contribute to Run for the Cure projects by developing high‑quality tools, resources, and processes.Create comprehensive training materials and deliver group training to staff and volunteers.Recruit and retain high‑caliber volunteers, addressing committee gaps and prioritizing succession planning.Facilitate onboarding and provide personalised training to newly recruited volunteers.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to execute strategies and tactics aimed at achieving program goals.Identify creative and innovative opportunities to improve or enhance the program.Secure new business for CCS by prospecting, approaching, and pitching to current and existing contacts.Work collaboratively with the corporate team to implement sponsorship solicitation, acquisition, and stewardship strategies.Follow all guidelines established by national leadership, including Marketing, Communications, Digital Support, Finance, Team People, IT, and others.Maintain relationship data for volunteers and stakeholders in Salesforce,
