Position OverviewThe Business Technology Lead is responsible for evaluating, selecting, and delivering technology solutions that address business-identified needs across the organization.This role operates as a blend of Business Analyst (30%) and Project Manager (70%), working closely with business units to understand requirements, assess solution options (internal systems vs. external vendors), and lead end-to-end implementation.This role focuses on translating business requests into structured solutions and ensuring successful delivery through internal teams and third-party partners.Reporting to the IT Director, the Business Technology Lead ensures that initiatives are well-defined, properly scoped, and executed efficiently, while aligning with organizational standards and priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesIntake & Solution FramingPartner with business units to intake, clarify, and document technology requestsTranslate business needs into structured requirements and solution optionsAssess feasibility using existing systems, current tools, or external vendorsDevelop clear business cases, timelines, and implementation approachesSolution Delivery & Project ExecutionLead end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives from intake through implementationManage scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations across multiple concurrent projectsCoordinate internal resources and external vendors to ensure successful deliveryEnsure solutions are implemented on time, within scope, and aligned with requirementsVendor Evaluation & ManagementResearch, evaluate, and recommend external vendors and solutions where appropriateLead vendor selection processes including demos, RFPs,
and contract alignmentManage vendor performance and hold partners accountable for delivery outcomesChange Management & AdoptionEnsure solutions are adopted effectively through structured rollout and trainingPartner with business leads to embed new processes into day-to-day operationsEnsure appropriate documentation, communication, and rollout planningGovernance & PrioritizationWork with leadership to prioritise initiatives across the organizationEnsure each project has clearly defined goals, expected outcomes, and accountabilityMonitor progress and provide regular updates to stakeholdersConduct post-implementation reviews to assess impact and identify improvementsDesired Skills and ExperienceMinimum 3-5 years experience in a similar roleProven experience delivering technology or business system implementationsStrong project management skills with experience managing multiple initiativesAbility to translate business needs into practical technology solutionsExperience working with external vendors and SaaS solutionsStrong stakeholder communication skillsExperience with change management and user adoptionFamiliarity with AI, automation, and modern business tools is highly recommended$100,000 - $120,000 a yearThe annual base pay range for this position will be based on the desired experience level for this role.
