ProjectThe Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.Woodfibre Management Ltd.is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.PositionTheMillwrightis an integral part ofWoodfibre LNG'sdynamic team, reporting directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment on industrial sites, all work is performed in accordance with applicable codes and safety regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will:Prior to start-up of the plant, support the development of maintenance proceduresParticipate in plant walkdowns covering rotating equipment scopeDuring Commissioning of the plant: verify installation and witness dynamic runs of rotating equipmentParticipate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policiesTroubleshooting rotating assets, compressors, pumps, fans, and hydraulic systemsAssist pipefitters with blinding and pipe strainRepair valves, pumps, fans & compressorsPerform Major overhauls of Centrifugal CompressorsReplace Dry gas sealsConduct AlignmentsWork closely with all other trades to acquire the highest availability and reliability of our equipmentInstall, inspect and repair of mechanical and hydraulic componentsPreform predictive and preventive maintenance on, pumps, gearboxes, fin fans, loading arms, hydraulics, & compressorsPerform predictive and preventive maintenance (Examples: Lubrication, greasing,
& vibration collection)Calculate loads and determine the appropriate rigging equipment and techniques for each taskHSSE100% compliance with company HSE policies and guidelinesChampion HSE as a member of the LNG Maintenance TeamTimely intervention to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of personnel and plantDemonstrate a personal commitment to influence overall safety behavior in the plantUnderstanding of standard hand signals and communication protocols used when working with cranes and other lifting equipmentRequired ExperienceBritish Columbia Journeyman Millwright Certification or Red Seal JourneymanPreference will be given to candidates who hold a dual ticket (Millwright/Pipefitter or Millwright/Welder)5-7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry such as LNG plants, Refining & UpgradingTurbo Machinery Experience would be an assetLevel 1 or 2 Vibration certification would be an assetKnowledge of various rigging methods and techniques for lifting and moving heavy materials safelyAbility to calculate loads and determine the appropriate rigging equipment and techniques for each taskExperience with piping troubleshooting and resolving piping system leaksAdditional RequirementsMaster certification in Rigging would be an assetAbility to Support planned, unplanned MaintenanceAbility to support TurnaroundsAbility to work weekend and extended hours as requiredAbility to work in physically demanding environmentsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsExperience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and contractors in a multicultural workplace is an assetCommunication/interpersonal skills – Ability to respectfully interact with coworkers through to managementAccepts responsibility and demonstrates a commitment to the delivery of tasksGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and change priorities within tight time frames.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environmentEnergetic in pursuit of continuous improvement processesMust be legally entitled to work in CanadaThe position is based on site in Squamish, BC (Project Site)Only qualified candidates legally entitled to work in Canada will be contacted.Woodfibre Management Ltd.is an equal opportunity employer.Thank you in advance for your interest!Hourly Rate: CAD $60/hr#J-18808-Ljbffr
