Position DetailsRotation/Shift: 6 weeks on / 1 week off, 10hrs per day.Start Date: Approximately Apr 1, 2026.Rate: $25.00 - $50.00 (Payrates vary by level and certifications).Location & Travel: Remote locations across Canada; flights and accommodations provided.Duration: April 2026 to December 2026.ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough visual and internal inspections of wind turbine blades to identify damage, wear, or structural issues.Perform composite and structural blade repairs using approved industry techniques and materials.Install leading-edge protection systems and carry out surface restoration as required.Ensure all repair and inspection work is performed in compliance with company and industry quality and safety standards.Accurately document inspection results, repair actions, and materials used in detailed job reports.Safety & ComplianceOperate with a safety-first mindset, ensuring full adherence to all safety protocols.Ensure operational safety of all equipment prior to and during use.Apply appropriate testing criteria according to relevant specifications or standards and evaluate results.Establish and follow proper examination techniques for inspections, prioritizing safety.Demonstrate proficiency in advanced rescue techniques and rope access safety standards.Be capable of meeting all required competencies and performing the responsibilities of a Rope Access Technician.Work Environment & ConditionsPerform work at heights exceeding 300 feet using rope access or suspended platforms.Travel to and operate in remote wind farm sites across Canada, including confined spaces, often for extended periods and under variable weather and environmental conditions.Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as required.Teamwork & LeadershipCollaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared goals.May be required to instruct, mentor,



or supervise junior technicians or other team members.Contribute to continuous improvement of team practices and performance.Additional DutiesPerform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by operations management.RequirementsExperience & Education:Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the wind energy sector.At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with blade inspection and repair.High School Diploma required; preference for Technical Wind Certification or broad turbine platform experience.Certifications & Licenses:Valid driver’s license and clean abstract required.Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Confined Space, CPR certifications are an asset.IRATA, SPRAT, GWO certifications would be an asset.Valid Canada Open Work Permit and eligibility to work in Canada required.Travel & Work Schedule:Willingness and ability to travel and work in remote locations across Canada for extended periods.6 weeks on, 1 week off rotation.40+ hours/week.Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed.Physical & Environmental Requirements:Ascend heights up to 100m (330ft) via ladders, suspended platforms, boom trucks, lifts, or rope access multiple times daily, carrying up to 15kg.Comfortable working in confined spaces and traversing rough or slippery terrain on construction sites.Lift up to 25kg unassisted (occasionally up to 35kg).Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, and climb with full range of motion, often for extended periods.Demonstrated fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination.Psychological and physical fitness to work in demanding environments; must pass random drug and alcohol screenings.Technical Skills & Teamwork:Proficiency with mechanized hand tools.Ability to function productively in adverse weather and site conditions.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse, team-based environment.Communication & Compliance:Effective verbal and written communication skills in English required; French consideredan asset but not required.Ability to adhere to client-specific pandemic and health policies, including evolving compliance requirements.BenefitsPaid time off.Employer‑paid perks.RRSP + Company match.Tuition grants.Discounted fitness memberships and insurance offerings.Employee assistance programs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
