As Supervisor, MRI, you are employed by Sinai Health with accountability at Mount Sinai Hospital and additional accountability at Women’s College Hospital, offering a unique chance to lead across two sites. whether it’s optimizing scanner utilization or troubleshooting technical issues, to keep imaging services running smoothly. With strong time‑management attributes, you effectively balance competing priorities from staffing adjustments to payroll, attendance tracking, and performance management, ensuring seamless operations. With strong organizational skills and a proactive approach, you improve efficiency while supporting both staff and patient care.Thriving in this role means achieving balance: guiding operations at Mount Sinai Hospital and Women’s College Hospital through our service agreement.As a committed professional, you understand that clear communication, transparency, and effective body language play a crucial role in putting patients at ease. With a strong attention to detail, you ensure image quality meets the highest standards, giving clinicians the clarity they need for confident decision‑making.In this role you will:Supervise, organize, assign, and distribute workload among assigned staff to ensure both departments operate in a manner that is efficient, volume and outcome responsive.Coach and mentor assigned staff to foster a positive atmosphere to support team building, collaboration and shared learning.Perform administrative responsibilities to facilitate processes/procedures improvement in an efficient, effective work environment.Maintain a system for detecting, documenting,



and reporting discrepancies/errors; take appropriate actions as required.Oversee financial responsibilities for assigned cost centers, including reporting and correcting discrepancies and preparing variance reports.Anticipate impacts of change on quality assurance procedures and initiate timely adaptations to ensure quality control is maintained.Participate in professional development, teaching/educational activities, safety and quality improvement programs to ensure excellence in the provision of service.Perform other duties related to the job classification, as required.Job RequirementsCompletion or intent to complete the Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer course (MRSO).Completion of a recognized post‑diploma program in area of responsibility, i.E., MRI program (MRT).Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification.5 years recent related MRI experience.Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).PreferredPrevious leadership experience.Skills and KnowledgeWorking knowledge of financial systems and processes within the Medical Imaging Department.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Commitment to continuing education and ability to meet continuing education requirements.Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, often under stressful conditions.Knowledge of quality assurance methods and an understanding of how to develop measurements and benchmarks.Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.As an equal‑opportunity employer who understands that diversity enriches our community and culture, we invite applications from all qualified candidates, including Indigenous Peoples, racialized people, disabled people/people with disabilities, women, and members of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.If you require accommodation(s) due to disability at any point during the application and hiring process, please contact 416‑586‑4800 ext. 7050, or email [email protected].#J-18808-Ljbffr
