Could It Be You?TheSenior Quality Assurance Engineeris a high‑level individual contributor responsible for the hands‑on technical validation of Questbank’s Credit Card ecosystem.



You will execute the technical test plan, ensuring that complex integrations between our mobile apps, vendor platforms (HPS, Thales, VISA), and core banking systems are flawless.The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer serves as the technical lead for the hands‑on validation of credit card systems, leveraging 5–7 years of experience to automate UI, API, and mobile testing. The role executes end‑to‑end testing for card lifecycle events—including originations and payments—across integrations with HPS, Thales, and VISA. Key responsibilities include utilizing Datadog for root‑cause log analysis and managing the full defect lifecycle in JIRA to secure Questbank’s payment modernization initiatives.In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:Expert Execution:Perform hands‑on test design and execution for complex end‑to‑end cardholder journeys, ensuring all edge cases are covered.Automation Development:Build and maintain automated test scripts within established frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, or Appium) for both UI and API layers.Defect Advocacy:Conduct deep‑drive root cause analysis on failed tests using logs and observability tools; manage the defectlifecycle in JIRA with precision.Technical Troubleshooting:Use technical tools to validate asynchronous events and verify data integrity within the Powercard backend.Mentor Peers:Provide technical guidance to junior analysts on scripting best practices and credit card domain complexities.So are YOU our next Senior QA Engineer? You are if you have…Advanced skills in Java, Python, or C# to write reusable automation components and sophisticated test scripts.Hands‑on experience testing REST APIs and validating message schemas in event‑driven systems like Pub/Sub or Kafka.Expertise in automating “responsive” web dashboards and native mobile apps, ensuring data tables and transaction histories render correctly across devices.Hands‑on experience testing card originations, payment processing, authorizations, and rewards engines.Proficient in using JIRA for test management.Functional experience working with Card Management Systems likePowercard,



TSYS, or First Data.Practical application of PCI‑DSS and PII data masking standards during test execution.Skilled at usingDatadogor similar tools to query logs and analyze traces to identify exactly where a transaction failed. Ability to write complex SQL or use data tools to verify that UI actions are correctly reflected in the backend ledger.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience:5–7 yearsin Software Quality Assurance, with a heavy focus on automation and back‑end testing.Industry:2+ yearsof hands‑on experience in the Credit Card, Payments, or Fintech sector.Technical StackAutomation:Proven experience withPlaywright, Selenium, or Appium .Tools:Proficiency inJIRAfor defect management and test tracking.Platforms:Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP/AWS) and containerized UI components.Observability:Practical experience usingDatadogfor troubleshooting and monitoring test runs.Compensation InformationBase salary range: $95,000 - $120,000The final compensation package will be commensurated with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada).
