Company: Lookout Housing and Health Society.Employment Status: Part‑time temporary until incumbent returns.OverviewThe Data Clerk – Callout worker reports to the Site Manager or designate and works in conjunction with the mission and philosophy of Lookout Housing and Health Society. Responsibilities include word processing, correspondence, schedule and report tracking, data entry, facilitating callouts, maintaining records of casual employees, and answering general inquiries related to programs and policies.Job DutiesReceives requests for emergency relief coverage, allocates and calls in relief staff to fill vacancies in accordance with Lookout’s Casual Availability Policy, Procedure and the Collective Agreement.Inputs casual availability updates into employee database (Success Factors) and tracks changes by running reports and notifying Site Manager or designate.Performs record management such as call records and attendance records related to casual staff.Corresponds to staff directly during telephone callouts and conversations and electronically through e‑mail.Gathers and compiles information as required.Employees are expected to remain alert and attentive during working hours; sleeping during shifts is not permitted.Responsible for complying with and contributing to all aspects of the health and safety program.Schedule and SalaryDays and Hours of Work: Saturday and Sunday, 07:00 – 15:00 (7.5 hours per shift). Days of rest will be consecutive. Schedule may change with two weeks’ notice. Probationary period: 488 hours with mid and end‑point reviews.Salary:
$24.76 – $26.38 per hour, depending on applicant’s length of seniority (as per the Collective Agreement).Qualifications & CompetenceEducation, Training and Experience:Grade 12 diploma.Office Administration Certificate.OFA 1 First Aid Certificate.Recent related experience of one (1) year.Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.A minimum of two (2) years sobriety if having alcohol and/or drug problems.Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work independently and in cooperation with others.Effective verbal and written communication.Ability to perform the demands of the job.Knowledge of general office procedures.Ability to operate related equipment.Suitability to work with disadvantaged and challenging adults in a diverse environment.Ability to organize work.Typing speed of 60 words per minute.Ability to deal with others effectively.Ability to provide work direction.Understanding and maintaining client/worker boundaries.Equal Employment Prospect StatementAll employees, including laid‑off and displaced employees, are entitled to apply on the vacancy and be considered pursuant to the provisions of Article 12.9.
