We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will work with members of the engineering team in order to develop engineering design solutions appropriate to the context, budget, and aesthetic requirements of building projects. The individual will have the ability to analyze and understand design intent in order to produce efficient and effective technical design solutions. They will collaborate with other skilled disciplines and coordinate the design through all phases of the project using their knowledge of building engineering systems, building materials, building codes, and construction technologies.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesigns components of the overall building including integrating architectural design and adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirementsEvaluates engineering design requirements and creates drawings to support construction projectsPerforms engineering activities such as calculations, code research, material and building systems research, laying out components, and calculation of program and building areasEvaluates site conditions,



including zoning requirements and site constraints and performs site surveys and field reviews to accurately document existing and new construction conditionsSynthesizes, interprets and coordinates technical information to write engineering specifications for Project ManualsReviews project products, services and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes and corporate quality controlsRequired SkillsIs proficient in Engineering software skills, including AutoCAD, Revit MEP, as well as mechanical engineering systems design softwareEngineering knowledge related to building mechanical systems and multiple building typesFamiliarity with architectural design concepts and building codes is requiredHave successfully completed related post‑secondary educationRegistered with a relevant professional engineering associationRequired Experience10+ years of project work experienceExperience in mechanical engineering building systemsSalary Range: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 /annually#J-18808-Ljbffr
