Title: 5-Ton Straight Truck Driver (Local)

Reports to: Manager, Transportation Optimization

Territory: Greater Toronto Area

Status: Full-Time Hourly Employee

Pay Rate: $23-25 per hour

Purpose: We are seeking a dependable and safety focused DZ Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will operate the Company’s 5-ton commercial truck to complete warehouse pick-ups, within the Greater Toronto Area, and deliver to our Distribution Center in Milton. Delivery routes are local, with daily travel not exceeding 250km. This position requires excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate a 5-ton commercial vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Complete local pickups according to scheduled routes
- Loading and unloading of parcels, either by hand or with a pallet jack
- Conduct daily pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure all cargo is properly secured and transported safely.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, bills of lading, and electronic documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Report vehicle defects, maintenance issues, accidents, or delays promptly.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of both vehicle and equipment.




- Monday to Saturday 6-8 hours per day availability, occasional Sundays based on operational needs particularly during peak season

· Support the successful transition of client pickup operations from third-party carriers to an internally managed transportation network.

Required Qualifications

- Valid Ontario DZ driver's license
- Clean driver's abstract and CVOR record
- Clean criminal background
- Be 23 years of age or older.
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario roadways and safe driving practices.
- Ability to operate GPS and electronic delivery systems.
- Ability to enter and exit the vehicle multiple times a day in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and qualified.
