OverviewCompensation:$105,000 - $120,000Job Title:Purchasing SupervisorLocation:Cambridge, ON | On-siteDepartment:Supply Chain ManagementJob Type:Full-timeBenefits:RRSP, health/dental/vision package, reimbursement for tuition and professional dues, paid vacation, personal days, and sick daysThe PositionThe Purchasing Supervisor at Eclipse Automation leads a team of Buyers to execute all Eclipse procurement requirements, while ensuring quality, cost and delivery meet expectations. The Purchasing Supervisor is accountable to offer timely direct team development and coaching, while managing a high volume of functional purchasing transactions. In this fast-paced environment, consistent leadership of the execution of all dashboard deliverables is paramount to success.What You’ll Be DoingAssign work to team members based on the knowledge of each employee’s skills and abilitiesPrioritize work based on business needs to ensure efficient workflow throughout the departmentIdentify and develop mitigation solutions for all supply continuity challengesManage and own all purchasing metricsDevelop and manage reporting mechanisms related to material costs management, inventory management, and purchase managementSet and manage daily work expectations and hold team members accountable for achieving targetsTrain team members in their daily tasks, and provide on-the-spot coaching and feedback to ensure competence and confidenceRecognize team members for their efforts and focus on leading an engaged, high-performing teamAct as a role model for team members on Eclipse expected behaviours and valuesDevelop and manage inventory management strategies as they relate to purchasing methodsWork with the project management and manufacturing teams to ensure production requirements are maintained while limiting on-hand inventoriesDevelop and maintain effective business relationships with all supplier partnersImplement cost reduction strategies and maintain cost baselinesStay informed of current and emerging technologies and their business implicationsDevelop meaningful processes to drive efficiency, engagement and effective ways of working with the rest of the organizationAbility to travel globally, not to exceed 20% of timeWhat We’re Looking ForPost-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline (materials management, supply chain management or business)Industry Certifications considered an asset (CSCMP, CPIM, CSCP, CCLP, etc.)Minimum of 5 years of progressive supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience directly managing material procurement and associated suppliersExcellent negotiation skillsMRP/ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)Intermediate level skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong team player with experience working in cross-functional teamsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGood problem analysis and resolution skillsCommitment to continuous improvement within the supply chainAbility to multitask and prioritize tasksWhat We OfferReimbursement for tuition and professional dues3 weeks of vacation and 3 paid personal days (to start)RRSP matching programFree snack programEclipse Automation is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive work setting.
