Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable specialist to join our financial team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. Duties
- Manage and process incoming payments through various channels, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of receivables and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices via phone, email, or other communication channels with professional phone etiquette
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure smooth coordination between receivables and payables processes
- Conduct regular analysis of accounts receivable aging reports to identify collection priorities and opportunities for process improvement
- Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing reports related to accounts receivable and account analysis
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks for data entry and record management
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices related to accounts receivable
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data and identify trends or issues
- Effective negotiation skills to facilitate collections while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation and data entry tasks
- Exceptional customer service skills coupled with qualified phone etiquette for communicating with clients
- Basic math skills essential for account analysis, invoice calculations, and financial reporting
