Under the direction of the Unit Manager, or designate, and according to regional and unit specific policies and directives, the Registered Nurse as a professional, bears the primary responsibility and accountability to assess needs, plan for, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients in the Critical Care Unit. This is a front line nursing position on a busy combined ICU/CCU. The position is physically demanding including bending, kneeling, crouching, overhead lifting and mobilizing bariatric patients.
