Job SummaryWe are seeking a senior‑level CNC machinist who can own the full machining process—from offline CAM programming, to custom fixture/jig design and build using SolidWorks and GibbsCam, through first‑article validation to repeatable production.Job DetailsThird shift role: 3:30 pm – 1:30 amLocations: Surrey, Port Coquitlam, Langley, Fort Langley, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge, White Rock, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Vancouver, Mission, Port Moody (ideal commutes to on‑site location)Primary equipment: 3‑ and 4‑axis milling centers, 7‑axis lathe with live tooling and sub‑spindle in a high‑mix, precision environment. Experience with HAAS control required.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming & Process Development: Independently create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 3‑ and 4‑axis mill and 7‑axis lathe using GibbsCAM; establish effective machining process and tool libraries; perform first‑article validation.Fixture/Workholding Design & Build: Design using SolidWorks, fabricate, and validate custom fixtures and jigs.Setup, Operation & Quality: Perform setup and operation of CNC mill & lathe, verify references, interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T, conduct inspections.Continuous Improvement & Collaboration:
Lead process improvement initiatives and partner with Engineering/Quality.Required QualificationsRed Seal Machinist certification (required)10+ years combined CNC machining and programming experienceExperience with HAAS controlsProficiency in SolidWorks and GibbsCAMHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, models, and technical documentsStrong analytical skills and mechanical aptitudeEffective time management and attention to detailStrong safety mindsetPreferred QualificationsFixture design experienceBackground in low‑volume/high‑mix machiningFamiliarity with Lean/5SMinimum 4 years of experience as a machinist (CNC highly preferred)Safety‑Sensitive RoleThis position has been identified as safety sensitive under applicable laws.
