Orchid House is looking for an enthusiastic and versatile All-Round Hospitality Employee to join our team.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in good service and is comfortable taking on a variety of responsibilities across front-of-house, bar and food preparation.

What will you do?

Your role will be varied and hands-on. Depending on the day, your responsibilities may include:

- Welcoming and serving guests

- Taking and serving food and drink orders

- Preparing and serving beverages

- Assisting with mise en place and light kitchen duties

- Setting up and maintaining outdoor cooking and braai areas

- Preparing grilled meats, side dishes and other menu items

- Restocking supplies and keeping work areas clean and organised

- Supporting events and special hospitality moments at Orchid House

Who are we looking for?

You are practical, guest-focused and comfortable working in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Ideally, you:

- Have previous experience in hospitality, catering or events

- Enjoy working both front-of-house and with food

- Have experience with grilling, open-fire cooking or braai-style cooking

- Are confident working independently when needed

- Work well under pressure





- Are friendly, reliable and proactive

- Are flexible and available for evenings and weekends

- Understand food hygiene and safe food handling

A strong advantage

Experience with traditional braai is a definite advantage.

We especially appreciate candidates who are familiar with techniques such as managing a wood or charcoal fire, grilling different cuts of meat and preparing dishes or accompaniments such as boerewors, sosaties, braaibroodjies or chakalaka.

Formal culinary training is not required; practical experience, confidence around the fire and a genuine interest in food are more key to us.
