The Group Benefits Analyst will provide group benefits consulting support, including design and financial management for existing and new clients and prospects. The Benefits Analyst will work closely with internal consulting teams, interface with vendors, support client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met.The Group Benefits Analyst WillContribute to the overall design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability and special risk benefits for clients.Lead annual renewal analysis and negotiations with carriers; prepare client reports and presentations.Conduct experience reporting, budget projections and review plan financial performance.Review financial statements for accuracy and adherence to underwriting agreements.Conduct marketing's by preparing and submitting specifications, analysis, cost comparisons, recommendations, and preparing reports.Gather data and determine cost impact for plan design changes.Monitor carrier/provider services standards.Support the consulting team in preparing documents for client presentations and meetings.Participate in industry conferences, seminars, etc. to keep abreast of industry trends and activities.Build relationships with clients, carriers, and internal, cross‑functional teams.Other Responsibilities May Also Include, As NeededConduct plan design benchmarking studies.Review all benefits documentation (contracts, booklets, collective agreements, amendments)
for accuracy.Prepare/review master applications and all other documentation for new sales submissions.Monitor implementation processes to ensure deadlines are met, questions answered, and all forms completed to meet effective dates.Prepare detailed plan design documents using Excel templates and update them as required.Investigate and assist with resolving ad‑hoc claims and coverage issues for clients.To be successful as a Group Benefits Analyst with People Corporation, you will needPost secondary diploma or degree in business, mathematics or related disciplines.Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an analyst or related role in group perks.Advanced competency with Microsoft Excel.Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.If you require an accommodation or an alternative format of any posting please reach out to
[email protected] base salary for this position is between $60,000 - $80,000 annually.This represents base salary only and does not include other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.E. annual bonus, commission, etc.). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
