Apply now to join the team!Within the context of a client‑centred care model and in accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Wellness Support Worker acts as a member of an interdisciplinary community health team, providing day‑to‑day physical, emotional and social supports, advocacy, life‑skills assistance, information, resources, and demonstrations to designated population groups in the community. The role reports the clients’ progress and condition to the interdisciplinary team, establishes working relationships with various agencies, co‑facilitates support groups, cultural activities and public education.ABOUT BELLA COOLA, BCBella Coola sits in a mountain valley at the head of the North Bentinck Channel, 500 km north of Vancouver, with a population of about 1800 people. The community is at the end of a long, truly magnificent fjord, on the mainland coast of British Columbia. Bella Coola General Hospital has 10 acute beds, 5 long‑term care beds and a 3‑bed emergency department open 24/7, along with a laboratory, diagnostic imaging services, Telehealth, Mental Health, Public Health, Home & Community Support Services. Also within the hospital are a medical clinic and a pharmacy.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceCompletion of a certificate in a Community Social Service or related program and two years of recent, related experience working with a designated population group or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.For worksites that require driving to various locations, Valid class V BC Driver’s license.Knowledge,
