This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience.CompensationStarting wage: CA$21.23/hour during probationAfter probation: CA$26.54/hourKey QualificationsMinimum 1 year of cleaning experience in a hotel or related industry preferredAbility to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and managementStrong organizational and problem‑solving skillsGood oral and written communication skillsAbility to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, pushing carts, and lifting up to 70 lbsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust be legally entitled to work in CanadaKey ResponsibilitiesCleaning and preparing assigned guest rooms in accordance with applicable brand standards. Duties include, but are not limited to:Removing all rubbish from waste bins and ashtraysMaking beds with fresh linenDusting furniture, lamps, shades, pictures, doors, and fixturesVacuuming and spot‑cleaning carpetsCleaning, washing,



and drying all bathroom areasReplacing guest supplies in rooms and bathroomsWashing paintwork and doors as requested by the Floor SupervisorReporting linens or bedding requiring replacementAssisting guests courteously, including removal of trays or newspapersCollecting and returning worksheets, HotSOS devices, and keys each shiftReporting rooms with Do Not Disturb signs or those not requiring serviceReporting rooms requiring extra cleaning per established proceduresSafeguarding master keys and hotel propertyReporting malfunctioning equipment, maintenance needs, or safety hazardsReporting suspicious activity to SecurityHandling lost and found items in accordance with hotel proceduresEnsuring guest room doors are properly securedMaintaining cleanliness and proper use of housekeeping equipmentGreeting guests promptly and courteously in line with Hyatt service culturePerforming other duties as assigned by managementWorking ConditionsShift work including weekends and holidays may be requiredHours of work and overtime are managed in accordance with the Ontario ESAMeal and rest periods provided as required by lawAccommodation & Equal OpportunityHyatt Regency Toronto is committed to providing a workplace that is inclusive and accessible.
