This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients!Kardium has a unique opportunity for an experienced Equipment Technician. As a member of the Manufacturing team, the Equipment Technician will be responsible for managing the assembly, repair and calibration manufacturing equipment used in the production of the Globe Catheter for treatment of atrial fibrillation.Due to the nature of our manufacturing operations, this role involves an afternoon shift schedule (from 3:00pm to 11 pm) Monday to Friday. Occasional work on statutory holidays may also be required. BC.Meaningful work you will be a part ofYour responsibilities will include:Generate equipment maintenance schedules to maximize equipment utilizationPerform equipment maintenance tasks (mechanical and electrical)Act as first level escalation for equipment failuresManage schedules and documentation for calibration work completed by external 3rd party vendorsManage logistics for sending equipment to 3 rd parties for calibration and repairExecute Installation Qualification (IQs) test plans for new and revised equipmentAssist with the implementation and documentation of new equipment and changes to existing equipmentAssist with changes to manufacturing infrastructureAssist with the management of spare parts inventoriesPerform cleanroom monitoring and maintenance activities including HVAC systemsWhat you bring to the teamOur Kardium team is smart, creative, and passionate about developing cutting-edge medical devices to help improve people’s lives. We understand that only by working together can we solve what was thought unsolvable.You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:Technical diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 3 years’ experience in equipment maintenance or servicingExperience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment such as ISO13485 or AS9100 preferredDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with a high degree of accuracy and timelinessExperience working in a cleanroom environment is desirableExperience writing technical procedures and reportsStrong diagnostic and critical thinking skillsEffective written and verbal communication and technical documentation skillsFlexible and able to take on additional responsibilities as appropriateCompensationKardium has listed the total cash compensation range that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills,
and business or organizational needs.
