This role is ideal for someone who loves books, understands the publishing world, and has a deep love for layout, lettering, and storytelling through design. You will design stunning, collectible book covers and dust jackets for our exclusive editions.In This Role, You WillCollaborate with the product team to craft compelling book cover compositionsCreate custom or modified typography treatments for titles, spines, and elementsFormat print-ready files to meet publisher and printer specifications (bleeds, spine width, spot gloss, foil specifications, etc.)Design original, eye-catching book covers and full dust jackets (front, spine, back, flaps)Work on other book features, projects, and supporting materials (e.G. tip-in pages, endpapers, bonus content, book mockups)Maintain organized file structure and version control for internal and external reviewYou Might Be Our Person If You3+ years of experience in book cover design, book layout, or publishing designExpertise in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoshopStrong understanding of print production, including file prep and prepressPortfolio that shows typography-first design, layout precision,

The target salary is $70,000 CAD, or equivalent in local currency.
