We are a residential contractor specializing in custom home builds—taking projects from the ground to turn-key—along with roofing and shingle installations.

We are looking for a reliable 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Carpenter or an experienced tradesperson who knows their way around a job site. If you have solid, hands-on tool experience and a strong background in residential construction, we are open to hiring 1st Year apprentices or experienced hands with no formal trade schooling.

Team Dynamic:

About 80% of the time, it will just be you and the Journeyman owner working side-by-side on-site. For larger builds or bigger roofing jobs, we bring on additional hands. This setup means you won't get stuck doing one repetitive task on a massive commercial site—you will get direct, high-level experience and mentorship across every single stage of residential construction.

Responsibilities

- Framing & Structural: Assist with floor systems, wall layout/framing, roof trusses, and sheathing.
- Roofing & Exterior: Install asphalt shingles, underlayment, and exterior trims. Must be 100% comfortable working at heights and on roofs.
- General Carpentry: Work through all phases of residential builds, including sub-floor prep, window/door installations, deck builds, and interior/exterior finishing work.
- Site Management: Operate power tools safely, read layout plans/blueprints,



and help keep a clean, organized job site.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on residential carpentry/construction experience preferred (or registered 2nd/3rd Year Carpenter Apprentice). Strong 1st years or non-indentured framers with solid tool skills will be considered.
- Comfort at Heights: Must be confident working on steep-sloped roofs for shingling jobs.
- Skills: Proficient with standard carpentry power tools, hand tools, pneumatic nailers, and measuring/layout tools.
- Work Ethic: Strong ability to work 1-on-1, take direction well, and work independently without constant supervision.
- Reliability: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation to get to local job sites.
- Physical Capability: Able to lift 50+ lbs consistently and work outdoors in varying weather.
