Job Overview

We are looking for a mechanically inclined Architectural Sheet Metal Panel Fabricator / Assembler to fabricate and assemble custom sheet metal, aluminum and ACM panels.

This is a hands-on fabrication position requiring good measuring skills, attention to detail and the ability to understand how parts fit together from a drawing.

Main Responsibilities

- Read shop drawings and verify panel dimensions.
- Measure, cut and fit perimeter extrusions, stiffeners and other panel components.
- Assemble sheet metal, aluminum and ACM panels.
- Hand-bend and form V-grooved material where required.
- Drill, countersink, rivet, fasten, deburr and complete general panel fabrication.
- Check panels for size, squareness, fit and overall quality.
- Handle finished surfaces carefully to prevent scratches and damage.
- Identify dimensional or fit-up problems before continuing with assembly.

Skills





- Solid mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
- Able to read shop drawings and measure accurately.
- Comfortable using common fabrication tools such as saws, drills, riveters and hand benders.
- Experience with drilling, countersinking, fastening, fitting and general sheet metal assembly.
- Detail-oriented and able to recognize problems before continuing.
- Able to work independently after training.

Relevant Experience Experience with architectural sheet metal, aluminum fabrication, ACM panels, cladding, glazing, signage, millwork or similar precision fabrication is an asset.

Direct panel experience is preferred, but we will consider someone with strong fabrication and mechanical skills who can learn our panel systems.
