Serving two primary markets – passenger vehicle and commercial truck – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.Our Engineering group has an opening for a Laboratory TechnologistMetallurgical/Mechanicalat our R&D; Center in Oakville, Ontario.Primary responsibilitiesPerform metallurgical and mechanical analysis, cleanliness and chemical testing in support of day‑to‑day operation of laboratory for new product or process development in the automotive industryExecute sample preparation and experimental testing using internal equipment / facilitiesCompose laboratory reports, sample collection and compilation of data in support of process and product investigationsDeliver timely laboratory support for problem solving, material and process investigations, and product development activitiesDeliver for timely/rapid turnaround time for lab requests, and provide support for lab equipment maintenance and adherence to H&S; and Quality standardsQualifications & SkillsCollege diploma in a related field at the Technologist levelRecent graduate, one to two years’ experience preferred, in the automotive industry.
