Put your future in motion!ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY PURPOSEThe Technology Business Management Intern provides strategic and tactical support for initiatives that advance TransLink’s Business Technology Services (BTS) division and play an important role in advancing projects and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring effective communication and dissemination of information within the organization. The internship opportunity includes providing support for a variety of initiatives and developing communications to improve awareness and visibility related to enterprise technology projects and services. As part of the BTS team, the intern will advance their experience in communication, facilitation, and requirements gathering leveraging your skills in low/no code solutions such as Microsoft Power Apps to improve communication channels and simplify workflows.Key AccountabilitiesProvides strategic and tactical support for a range of initiatives in BTS such as:Supporting the delivery of capital projectsSupporting the development of technology workforce strategy to inform TransLink of emerging and retiring technology-related skills, identify and propose learning programs that increase employee digital literacy, and support initiatives that optimize efficiencies from managed services partners.Developing or refreshing technology service catalogues that outline technology offerings and services.Creation of internal-facing websites,
serving as centralized hubs for employee access to technology-related information and resources.Develops communications for internal IT processes and procedures, ensuring clarity and efficiency in understanding. This includes creating user guides, FAQs, and process flowcharts that empower employees to navigate technology-related tasks seamlessly. Maintains utmost discretion with sensitive information ensuring that our technology initiatives and associated information remain secure and confidential.Employs rigorous measurement and analysis techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations for enhancement. Regularly monitoring engagement metrics, feedback, and user behavior informs continuous improvement efforts.Facilitates seamless collaboration by coordinating the collection of information from diverse technology teams. This involves adeptly navigating organizational structures, fostering open communication channels, and harmonizing disparate inputs into cohesive narratives.Identifies and produces compelling narratives that spotlight employees, leadership, and our team, thereby advancing Business Technology priorities. These narratives celebrate achievements, highlight innovation, and reinforce our organizational culture.Leverages Microsoft Power Apps and other relevant tools to elevate our internal communication channels, fostering seamless information flow. This includes designing interactive dashboards, automating notifications, and creating personalized experiences for employees.QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERequires completion of a minimum of two (2) years post-secondary education related to Business,
Technology or Communications.Other RequirementsStrong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey technical information in an accessible manner.Proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps and other relevant collaboration tools.Highly organized with excellent project management skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and drive projects forward.Other InformationRecruitment ProcessAn applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role.
