We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper / Painter to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces for painting and applying high-quality paint finishes that meet industry standards. Your expertise will help ensure vehicles are restored to their original condition with precision and care.

Duties

- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove old paint, rust, and surface imperfections
- Mix and match paint colors accurately to achieve seamless repairs
- Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats with precision using spray guns or other painting equipment
- Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components as needed during prep and painting processes
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to ensure flawless finishes




- Maintain a clean and organized work workplace, adhering to safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

- Prior dealership or automotive repair experience highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and body components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray painting equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with automotive prep work, sanding, masking, and painting techniques
- Mechanic experience or background in automotive repair is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
