Drive the final stages of urban transformation. As a Clerk II, you will provide high-level administrative oversight and strategic support to the Development Inspections Unit. You serve as a vital link in the land development lifecycle, ensuring that privately-constructed infrastructure—from critical transportation networks to urban landscaping—seamlessly transitions into the City’s public domain.ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support services to the Unit General Supervisor, Senior Management Staff, and other designated staff including the Director for Subdivision & Development Coordination Section and General Supervisors for other Units within the Section, as requiredSupport the Development Inspections Unit’s business practice operationsProvide support for meeting coordinationManage and coordinate incoming inquiries from 311 Customer Relations Management (CRM), Office of the City Council, other City employees and the general publicProvide general administrative support, including monitoring and ordering office supplies and equipmentExecute clerical support services such as:Ordering and distributing health and safety supplies and equipmentFiling, data entry, transcribing, and photocopyingCoordinate Telecommunications changes and current requests (e.G., cellphones, laptops, desktops)Maintain Online Corporate Directory Updates (including Global Address updates)Manage purchasing (stationery/supplies, office equipment, furniture)
and Corporate procurement card transaction review/approvalPerform other related responsibilities as requiredQualificationsGrade 12 High School diploma, including business subjects or completion of an appropriate Business Administration certificate program from an approved business collegeMinimum of 2 years of general office experience, including office practices and procedures in a professional environmentSkills required for successFamiliarity with contracts (e.G., Servicing Agreements)Excellent organizational and prioritization skillsProficient communication skills, both written and verbalStrong attention to detail and accuracyPractical knowledge of City applications such as POSSE, ePlan, eServices, SAP Ariba, and Remedy Digital WorkplaceExpertise in using Google Workspace applicationsWorking knowledge of City department / branch operations, processes and policiesAlignment to our Cultural Commitments and Leadership Competencies ( https://bit.Ly/4brRrXm )Embracing a culture of equity, diversity, reconciliation, and inclusionWork EnvironmentThe weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time.
