Bed & Breakfast Attendant

Full-time Position, Accommodation provided

Position Summary The Bed & Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing guests with a warm, welcoming, clean, and comfortable experience throughout their stay. This is a hands-on hospitality position that combines guest service, housekeeping, breakfast service, property upkeep, and day-to-day operational responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest service.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

- Welcome guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Assist with guest arrivals, departures, and general inquiries.
- Anticipate guest needs and help create a comfortable and memorable stay.
- Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Guest Room Housekeeping and Turnovers

- Prepare rooms efficiently between departing and arriving guests.
- Make beds and replace linens between guests and during stays as required.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, tubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop guest rooms and other assigned areas.
- Replace towels, toiletries, beverages, and other guest amenities.
- Inspect rooms before guest arrival to ensure they are clean, properly stocked, and presented to a high standard.
- Handle guest belongings and personal property with care and respect.
- Check that lighting, heating/cooling, televisions, appliances, plumbing fixtures, and other room amenities appear to be functioning properly.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning items.

Breakfast Service

- Assist with the preparation and service of breakfast according to established menus and procedures.




- Prepare dining areas before breakfast service.
- Welcome and serve guests during breakfast.
- Prepare and replenish coffee, tea, beverages, condiments, and breakfast items.
- Clear and reset tables throughout and following service.
- Wash dishes and clean kitchen and dining areas.
- Follow proper food-handling, sanitation, allergen, and food-safety procedures.
- Communicate known dietary requirements and allergies appropriately.

Common Areas & Property Upkeep

- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of entrances, hallways, stairways, lounges, dining areas, patios, and other guest spaces.
- Restock supplies and guest amenities as required.
- Remove garbage and recycling and maintain designated disposal areas.
- Assist with laundry, including washing, drying, folding, organizing, and storing linens and towels.

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, food service, hotels, inns, or customer service is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Friendly and professional communication skills with moderate English proficiency.
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks.
- Comfortable working in a small-team setting where employees may perform a variety of duties.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion around guests.




- Willingness to work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays as required by occupancy and business needs.

Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position that may involve standing and walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying supplies, moving linens, making beds, cleaning, and performing repetitive housekeeping duties.

Employees must be able to safely perform the essential duties of the position, with accommodation where required by applicable law.

Pay: $3,000.00 per month
