Mountain Time Industrial is the premier provider of scaffolding services in the oil & gas industry in Northeast BC and is wholly owned by Saulteau First Nations and governed as a subsidiary under Mistahiya Development Corp (MDC). The role of MTIS is to provide quality scaffolding solutions under maintenance and turnaround contracts.Role DescriptionIdeally, you are comfortable working in an organization where your skills in finance, accounting, and office management are highly valued. to make a significant community impact by helping grow the existing business beyond its current operating limits.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe role of Finance Manager includes the following responsibilities:Processes incoming and outgoing invoices and payments, including data entry into accounting softwareEnsures financial statements, accruals and account reconciliations are prepared in an accurate mannerReviews and analyzes revenues and expenditures to identify opportunities for operational improvementAnalyzes financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the General Manager and CFO’s attentionEnables performance monitoring by producing standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboardsSupports the payroll function, coordinating with MDC HR to ensure compliance with labor standards and company policiesFiles remittances and ensures compliance with regulators for insurance and tax paymentsMaintains and reconciles fixed assets schedulesPrepares annual operating and CAPEX budgets and completes annual auditManages project budget integration to accounting software from bid acceptance to project completionReconciles bank statements monthly and GL accounts monthly / quarterly / annuallyManage integrity of data flowing from field employees to finance department & systemsPerforms related clerical duties, such as word processing, and maintains filing and record systemsStays current with all regulations, practices, tax laws, reporting requirements and industry trendsOther duties as required within scope of positionQualificationsEducationDegree in Accounting or FinanceDiploma in Accounting or Finance coupled with a minimum of 5 years experience in the field may be consideredExperienceMust have a minimum of 3-5 years intermediate experience in an accounting or finance departmentExperience in a scaffolding or oil & gas industry environment considered an assetStrong knowledge of accounting standards and reporting frameworks – ASPEStrong knowledge of finance statements, budgeting, and cash flow reportingExperience in full cycle accounting and the month-end / year-end close processExperience with the accounting system Abio, Sage 50 and/or Sage 100 is considered an assetDetail oriented with strong analytical, time management and organizational skillsWell-developed critical thinking skills and solutions-focused mentalityExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookMust possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential informationWork ConditionsWork is to be performed in-office in Fort St John, full time Monday to Friday, with a temporary remote start while the office is establishedOccasionally, travel may be required to Chetwynd, BCSalary range is $75,000-95,000, commensurate with experienceApply by emailing your cover letter and resume to#J-18808-Ljbffr
