If the role becomes available, you may receive an email or call from a recruiter.The ILM Vancouver Senior VFX Producer is responsible for collaborative oversight of bidding and production of Vancouver-based work, and for partnering with the Executive Producer and EIC, Vancouver Studio on ILM strategies and initiatives. In this client-facing role, strong client management and the ability to represent the studio at a high level are key responsibilities. Other responsibilities include proactive problem-solving and collaboration required for success, oversight of budgets and schedules, ensuring work is produced to the quality and standards requested by the client on time and on budget, identifying best practices, and advising on strategy for potential new work.What You’ll DoProduction Responsibilities:Meet with clients to review scripts, breakdowns and storyboards for a specific projectPartner with key creatives to develop the show approach plan and provide clients with estimates of budget and schedule requirements needed to complete the workPrepare bid letter, key dates schedule,



and assumptions for the work of a specific projectPlay a proactive key role in marketing ILM's services to the industryShare responsibility for the success of the entire ILM portfolio by proactively managing schedule; utilizing ILM’s global resources and 3rd party partners, where appropriateActive Production Responsibilities:Serves as Senior-level Producer on 1-3 “UNIT” Shows or 1 Primary Vancouver “HUB” ShowDuring production, serve as a Vancouver contact for non-creative issues, tracking and reporting progress of work, budgeting and negotiating cost of work, and delivering cost/schedule changes to ensure client is updated as neededResponsible for assigned show / scope of Vancouver work P&LProduction; strategy on ILM Vancouver showsOversee, monitor, and improve overall production schedule, production staff and budget for assigned show(s)Escalate production issues to EP, EIC, DoP, producers and management as needed; assist in resolving facility issues with ILM Vancouver HR Manager and others, as neededCollaborate with ILM Vancouver Talent Managers to staff productions effectivelyEvaluate EFCs for assigned projects and work with producers and production accountants to provide management with early,



consistent and accurate EFC reportingParticipate in bi-weekly Production & Tactical Capacity meetings and portfolio meetings as appropriateEvaluate changes in schedule and body of work and advise on solutions for resource capacity/utilization and complexity challengesPartner with ILM San Francisco, Mumbai, Sydney and London producers to determine communication framework between productionsPartner with HUB Producers to determine turnover requirements and evaluate incoming turnoversManage crew performance and supervise assigned production staff, providing timely performance feedbackWhat We’re Looking For5+ years’ hands-on digital production experienceProven track record of successfully working in Visual Effects Producer capacity on several major productions at a facility (5+ years)Proven track record in bidding and strong client managementProven ability to mentor and lead production teams and producersExcellent organization and interpersonal skillsExcellent computer skillsExperience with databases and a wide range of production management tools (such as Shotgun, Filemaker Pro, MS Project)Strong English communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work on weekends, depending on show schedulesSet-work may be requiredCompensation & Other DetailsThe hiring range for this position in Vancouver is C$159,000 to C$203,500 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
