The Incumbent of this role is a key player in keeping our Production and Maintenance Teams running efficiently, while ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast‑paced, "just‑in‑time" environment. Cooperation with the Process Engineering,
Production and Maintenance Teams is essential for this position.While this is a straight Afternoon/Night Shift role at this time, Candidates must be flexible to work any/all shifts, daily/weekend overtime as required plus rotating on‑call duties.Duties and ResponsibilitiesIdentify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions.Maintain assembly machines and equipment per established PM schedules. Suggest improvements to PM schedules (frequency and content) as applicable.Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintain process uptime through troubleshooting and repairs.Be actively involved in continuous improvement activities. Communicate opportunities for improvement through the appropriate channels.Document issues and repairs using the appropriate systems and forms.Support production equipment start‑up and change‑over as required.Assist in new equipment commissioning and start‑up.Any other duties as assigned.Diploma in Electro‑Mechanical Engineering Technology – Automation & Robotics – or commensurate experienceWorking knowledge & experience with PLC‑based equipment & machine logicExperience troubleshooting and repairing assembly equipmentAbility to troubleshoot pneumatic, electric and mechanical equipmentAbility to select and install sensors and other machine componentsKnowledge of and ability to use machining tools and equipment including powered & hand‑held toolsAbility to read, understand and update electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings for assembly machines and equipmentThrough understanding of machine guarding and other safety requirementsWhile not mandatory, preference will be given to those with:Experience programming OMRON PLCsWorking knowledge & experience installing & troubleshooting vision cameras/sensorsAbility & willingness to complete Millwright Apprenticeship/Red Seal CertificationHourly Wage: $44.56 + night shift premium of $0.75/hour shift or afternoon shift premium of $0.50/hourEmployment Type: Full‑timeHours of Work: Night Shift: 11 pm – 7 am, Sunday night to Thursday NightAfternoon shift: 3pm – 11pm Monday to FridayJob Vacancy: This posting is to fill a current vacancyWe thank all candidates for their interest, however only those who qualify for an interview will be contacted.
